Cameron, a Physiotherapist since 1985, has specialised in the treatment of back and neck pain since 1991. Cameron attained a post graduate Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®(MDT), the highest qualification offered by the McKenzie Institute®.
Cameron became interested in the clinical principles developed by Robin McKenzie from early in his career. This treatment process maximizes the independence of the patient by actively involving them in understanding and treating their condition. The McKenzie Method®, otherwise known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® is recognized internationally and is evidence based. The McKenzie Institute® has branches in 26 countries world wide.
Cameron guest lectured at AUT School of Physiotherapy over a 12 year period teaching the assessment and management techniques of spinal complaints with a focus on the McKenzie Method®.
Cameron has also served on the executive of the APPPA and represents the NZ Physiotherapy Trust in consultation with ACC on matters affecting ACC claimants and the Physiotherapy profession.
Since 1991 Cameron has seen over 13,000 people with spinal pain. Treatment focus remains in providing individualised self treatment strategies for his clients.
